SOME BIG CHANGES IN MY LIFE

As some of you may know, especially those that know me personally, I've had a lot of upheaval in my life since the start of this year, which has meant that I've had to implement a lot of changes in my life, some of which I was intending to do anyway, and also some that I never thought I would have to do. I've spent a lot of time trying to focus on myself, on becoming the person that I want to be and at the end of the day, making sure that I'm happy. Sometimes that meant staying away from social media for extended periods of time or even sometimes just taking the day off when I was being too hard on myself.

I've also made a lot of changes in my work life, which I will go into at a later date, but it has definitely resulted in positive outcomes for both myself and my work. I feel like I'm in a much better place now and that I've finally started to 'find myself' again, as cheesy as that may sound! I've also just come back from a 2 week holiday in Crete, where I made sure I relaxed 99% of the time that I was there because I knew when I got back I would be ready to really knuckle down and start the next chapter of my life properly.

So, with all that said, the first thing in question was Monster Trunk, I started out Monster Trunk in 2014, purely because I was (and still am) passionate about t-shirt designs and independent clothing brands, it was never meant to be my full time job, just a side project that I could share with others. However, I was working a part time job, I was getting more and more freelance work (which was basically taking up enough time to be a full time job) and starting the process of trying to buy a house and the time I had spare just started to become less and less, so I had no time left to work on Monster Trunk ideas.

A big problem was the promotion of the brand, because I have a completely separate social media accounts for my personal brand and for Monster Trunk, and it became really time consuming to be posting on different accounts all of the time (sounds lame but anyone else who has this will know exactly what I mean!). The main problem for me though, was that I was struggling to differentiate what content should go on which account (other than products and work obviously).

So, what I have decided to do is merge both my personal brand and the Monster Trunk brand, because I feel like the reason they are hard to differentiate is that they're both being created by the same person who has the same morals and principles for each, so I'm thinking they're going to work much better as a cohesive unit.

All in all, Monster Trunk still exists, but will be sold alongside my personal work too. So all of the clothing and some smaller products will be Monster Trunk originals, and any other products will be prints, books and originals etc. under the Aldersaur brand.

I'm really busy with a lot of freelance work at the minute, but I'm going to try my best to keep creating weekly content for my blog, and ideally I'd like to start vlogging again, I just need to figure out how the hell to organise my time better but hopefully that will come with some trial and error! I'm also trying to plan out some new products in time for the Christmas period, which I'm super excited about!

I thought I'd just share a little update this week as I've had a lot of catching up to do on different projects (please go follow Freesphere Ent. and Influx Studios if you'd like to see some of the stuff I'm working on). I do intend to get back to it next week though!

Cheers for reading guys!
