If you saw my post yesterday with the zombie character sketch here he is all finished up, well I say finished up but it’s really just the start! I’m now going to develop him a range of outfits and see what looks best. Then it’ll be onto 2 different zombie characters and then 2 humans.

I’ve decided to mainly work on personal projects for a few months, possibly up until christmas. I think as an illustrator we all have our moments when we worry about money too much and it takes over, meaning we end up doing projects just to get paid, because at the end of the day we need money to survive.

The more I work on personal projects the more I realise I became a freelance illustrator to work on projects I find fun and projects that interest me. It’s also made me realise how much more I love what I produce when I do it purely for fun and not to try and please anyone.

So just remember, do what makes you happy and not what you think will make others happy!
