One of the, if not THE main thing that holds me back in my work is definitely fear. I have so many any ideas and a lot of the time think well what if nobody likes it? What if it doesn’t add anything to my portfolio and results in less commissions? What if it looks crap? The list is endless! I’m going to make sure in 2015 I try my best to conquer this fear as much as I can and do more for myself. I’ve wanted to create comics for a while but I’ve always thought there would be no point as I’m not much of a storyteller so people wouldn’t want to read them even though storytelling is something I’d really like to get good at. So now I’m starting to get ideas for comics and I’ve started to lay down the layout for a short comic idea I’ve come up with which will be 3 -4 pages long, and who cares if no one reads it! If it makes you happy and it’s what you want to do then you should just do it anyway! Happy new year everyone, thanks for all of the support and to the people who’ve bought things from the monster trunk shop, I couldn’t be where I am without you all and look forward to showing you more in the future! Have a good one! Rachel Alderson31 December 2014illustration, characterdesign, comic art, artistsontumblr, 2015Comment Facebook0 Twitter LinkedIn0 Reddit Tumblr 0 Likes
